Aer Lingus is utilizing Airbus A321XLR an aircraft that has extra fuel tanks to make Atlantic crossings on a narrow-body single aisle aircraft based on Airbus A321 Neo (New engine option) platform.

On board Aer Lingus features a 2-2 configuration in business class

In economy the configuration is 3-3.

Indianapolis Current & Previous International Service

Indianapolis previously had direct flights to Paris but those were suspended due to the pandemic. Indianapolis currently has flights to Canada, & Mexico

Analysis

I’m excited to see passenger European flights return to Indianapolis. The A321XLR economics make such interesting routes possible like from Dublin to Nashville & Indianapolis. Though it does present a trade off, take a direct flight to Europe or connect in Chicago take a larger plane  to Europe. I’m curious to know which would you prefer a narrowbody or a twin aisle for an Atlantic crossing?
