This collaboration is set to deliver a significant boost to the World of Hyatt loyalty program. Members will soon be able to earn and redeem points on qualifying stays at The Venetian Resort, which comprises The Venetian and The Palazzo hotels. Additionally, World of Hyatt elite members can look forward to exclusive on-property benefits, while eligible meeting planners will enjoy enhanced rewards for group bookings.
Expanding Hyatt’s Reach in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is a top destination for both leisure and business travelers, and this agreement adds 7,000 suites and 2.25 million square feet of meeting space to Hyatt’s portfolio. Mark Vondrasek, Chief Commercial Officer at Hyatt, emphasized the significance of this partnership, noting the growing demand for Las Vegas accommodations among World of Hyatt members and group business customers.
Luxury Meets Rewards at The Venetian
The Venetian Resort, the only all-suite property on the Las Vegas Strip, blends Venetian charm with the city’s vibrant energy. Guests can expect a sensory-rich experience, from romantic gondola rides on the Grand Canal to award-winning dining crafted by culinary legends such as Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller, and Tetsuya Wakuda.
Following a $1.5 billion reinvestment, the resort’s suites have been reimagined with opulent designs inspired by Venetian Carnival. The Venetian embodies classic European elegance, while The Palazzo offers a sleek, contemporary luxury experience.
New Benefits for Loyalty Members
Once integrated into World of Hyatt, The Venetian Resort will provide even greater value for Hyatt loyalty members. Venetian Rewards members will also gain access to World of Hyatt benefits, further enhancing their travel experiences. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to elevating the guest experience and expanding opportunities in the meetings and events sector.
Analysis
With this latest agreement, Hyatt is working to recover from the loss of its partnership with MGM to Marriott. Hyatt’s first order of business was forming a partnership with the Rio. Now, with The Venetian Resort, the company is taking another significant step. Overall, I find this new partnership exciting, as The Venetian is a unique property.
Of course, this won’t fully compensate for the loss of MGM properties, which are ideally located on the Strip. However, The Venetian is a bit further north but still offers a much better location than the Rio.
